The Objectives of implementing the Safety Management System in CASSIOPEIA SHIP MANAGEMENT LLC are:

• Continuously improve the safety management skills of personal ashore and aboard ships, including preparing for emergencies relating to both safety and environmental protection.

• Promote compliance with mandatory rules and regulations, applicable codes, guidelines and standards set by the administration, certification societies and other industry organizations.

Safety Management System of CASSIOPEIA SHIP MANAGEMENT LLC intends to achieve these objectives by:

• Maintaining high standards of safety consciousness, personnel discipline and individual accountability by adherence to a comprehensive and documented system of training.
• Actively promoting employee's participation in measures aimed at improving safety and protecting the environment.
• Keeping all personnel fully informed of any known or potential hazards that may affect themselves, their colleagues, the ship or the environment by transmittal of pertinent documentation.
• Ensuring adherence at all times to the documented operating procedures by system of internal verification of procedures and activities.
• Continuously reviewing all mandatory rules, regulations and required guidelines relevant to specific ship types and trades.

Application & Expectations

CASSIOPEIA SHIP MANAGEMENT LLC will apply its Safety Management System to all managed vessels.
All employees are expected to comply with Safety and Pollution Prevention Regulations and Procedures at all times, and to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves, their colleagues, the ship, its cargo and the environment.
All employees are also hereby encouraged to contribute and suggest to management any information or suggestion or comments on the Safety Management System, by inclusion of which the safety environmental protection can be further enhanced.
